Initiated in 2020, this is the Kingdom of Eswatini's premier endurance road cycling event as athletes cycle from the Ngwenya Border Post to Lavumisa Border Post, and is targeted at both the recreational and competitive cyclist looking to test their limits and explore the country on two wheels.
Eswatini Cycling is built on the premise that there is a need to position cycling and make it an online-offline cross-channel experience. Cycling is a very interesting sport in the way that it is so ‘reachable’ for fans, but cycling event organisers do not have the luxury of stadiums and arenas and constantly have to think of strategies to ‘claim’ fans along the roads and also at home. We are constantly looking to enhance, amongst other things, the fan experience in as far as cycling as a both competitive and recreational experience is concerned. Our communication and engagement strategies are geared towards building a sustainable relationship with the person standing next to the road cheering the cyclists on; telling stories and showing the personality behind the athlete.
With just over 200 participants in the 2022 edition, the AlphSZ Border2Border Cycle Tour is a cycling ride for mind, body, and soul. The objectives of the Border2Border Cycle Tour stretch beyond the recreational and sporting goals and have it serve as a useful tool for positive social change.
TOUR PACK COLLECTION: The collection points will be operational Friday, 09 June 2023 from 1200HRS to 1800HRS.
